In this role you will work across all aspects of retrieving, storing, and querying our clients data. You will design tables, write stored procedures, functions, views, and queries that help our data analyst clients get the maximal use out of their data. You should be comfortable working in multiple types of databases – BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres, as well as querying non-columnar data stores like Druid. You’ll work with analysts and other developers to design the data stores and structures to ensure they can be queried reliably.

Developer duties and responsibilities

• Development of high quality database solutions for loading, storing, and moving data
• Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and queries 
• Develop and maintain cloud pipelines using methods like dbt, airflow, etc
• Review and interpret ongoing business requirements for reporting
• Research data sources and field values
• Build and maintain queries and views
• Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
• Suggest new queries
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
• Provide timely scheduled management reporting
• Investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements

Requirements & Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience working as a SQL Developer or similar role
• Experience querying NoSQL databases
• Comfortable orchestration concepts like working with dbt or with Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker
• Familiarity with data analytics and reporting from a business standpoint
• Self motivated and with solid time management skills.
• Team player who enjoys working with other developers, data analysts, data scientists, and business users.
• Excellent communication skills (English).
• A sense of humor.
